Blaming Brexit, N26 quits the UK

German mobile bank N26 is quitting the UK, saying that Brexit means it can no longer operate in the country with its European banking licence.

The UK formally left the EU on 31 January, but still trades like a member state under a transition period which ends on 31 December 2020.

Talks on the future relationship between the EU and the UK are set to begin in March once the EU’s 27 members have agreed the bloc’s negotiating mandate.
